Beginner’s Guide: How to Access cPanel and Install WordPress

Launching a website can feel overwhelming, but with Elite Cloud Server, it’s simple. Your hosting account comes with cPanel, a powerful control panel that makes managing your site easy. In this guide, we’ll walk you through accessing cPanel and installing WordPress using Softaculous Apps Installer.

Step 1: Log in to cPanel

  1. Open your browser.
  2. Type one of these links:
    • https://yourdomain.com/cpanel
    • or https://yourdomain.com:2083
  3. Enter the username and password provided in your Elite Cloud Server welcome email.
  4. Click Log In.

???? Tip: If your domain isn’t active yet, use your server’s IP address instead:
https://123.45.67.89:2083 (Check IP Address in your confirmation Email)

Step 2: Locate the Software Section

Once inside cPanel, scroll down until you see the Software section.
Here you’ll find tools like:

  • PHP Selector – choose your PHP version
  • Optimize Website – improve performance
  • Softaculous Apps Installer – install apps like WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, and more

Step 3: Open Softaculous Apps Installer

  • Click on Softaculous Apps Installer.
  • You’ll see a dashboard with many applications.
  • WordPress is usually listed under Top Scripts.

Step 4: Install WordPress

  1. Click the WordPress icon.
  2. Select Install Now.
  3. Fill in the details:
    • Choose Installation URL → select your domain (e.g., yourdomain.com).
    • Site Name & Description → enter your website title and tagline.
    • Admin Username & Password → create secure login credentials.
    • Admin Email → enter your email for password recovery.
  4. Scroll down and click Install.

Step 5: Access Your WordPress Site

After installation, Softaculous will provide two links:

  • Website URL → yourdomain.com
  • Admin URL → yourdomain.com/wp-admin

Use the Admin URL to log in with your WordPress username and password.
